5 Major Reasons Microsoft’s Ecosystem is Better Than Google’s

When it comes to creating a smooth and effective ecosystem, Microsoft is ahead of Google. Microsoft concentrates on developing a user-friendly system, but Google frequently attracts attention with its inventions like Gemini. Its applications, including To-Do and OneNote, offer a seamless experience and function well on several devices for increased productivity. Microsoft offers an integrated experience that streamlines work across desktop and Android platforms.

Microsoft places more emphasis on reliable functionality than Google does on minimalism. Its ecosystem gives customers a unified and dependable platform for managing their work and daily activities while also increasing productivity and guaranteeing faultless performance.

5. Native Apps on All The Platforms

Microsoft provides fully native software for Windows and Mac, in contrast to Google’s reliance on web-based desktop apps. Although many web-based applications function well, they fall short of native alternatives. Microsoft programs provide improved hardware integration, quicker loading times, and smoother performance across all operating systems (Apple Silicon compatible).

It’s possible that you won’t observe any performance changes right away. In contrast to its online competitors, native applications offer incredibly smooth scrolling and navigation while working with massive datasets that contain intricate algorithms or presentations that have hundreds of graphics-heavy slides.

Additionally, I want to mention the Microsoft 365 mobile app. For anyone who works with PDFs on the go, it is a hidden gem in addition to standard tools like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. With its abundance of features, a separate PDF editor is no longer necessary.

4. Microsoft’s Productivity Apps are Feature-Packed

While Google Sheets, Slides, and Docs are feature-rich and competitive with Microsoft’s offerings, Keep Notes and Tasks are not comparable to OneNote and To-Do. OneNote is an entirely other animal. It’s a complete digital notepad that records everything, including handwritten notes, online clippings, audio, video, text, and more.

Beyond the basic Keep Notes, you may explore sketching tools, make arithmetic calculations, arrange your notes in notebooks, sections, and pages, and utilize the browser extension to store fascinating data from publications.

Microsoft To-Do is a beautiful and easy-to-use task manager that is far better than Google Tasks. In addition, Microsoft offers other useful tools like Loop and Lists. Microsoft’s new tool, Town, is a modern solution that features a powerful block editor, advanced databases, robust templates, a gallery, and many other capabilities. It serves as an alternative to well-known players like Notion and Coda for managing personal information effectively.

Microsoft Lists is a simple yet powerful tool, further enhanced by Microsoft to make it even more effective. It can be used to track inventory, manage projects, and even keep records of customer contacts. It’s a productivity hero you might not have realized you needed.

3. Google Drive is Not Comparable To OneDrive

A cloud storage service is necessary to preserve your notes, files, spreadsheets, media, and more in one location, regardless of whether you are a part of the Google, Microsoft, Apple, or Proton environment. When it comes to the two software behemoths, OneDrive is far superior to Google Drive. Here’s why.

OneDrive provides a dedicated gallery where you can view your uploaded files. You may make albums, use tags and locations to locate your memories and designate particular moments as favorites for convenient access. Microsoft recently revamped the Android and iPhone user experience and nailed it. A built-in PDF scanner stores documents, files, and visiting cards to your OneDrive account.

OneDrive outperforms Google Drive in terms of security and privacy. To protect your private documents from prying eyes, you can utilize the Personal Vault add-on. OneDrive gives these files an additional degree of protection. Links that you use to distribute files might have a password or expiration date added. Unfortunately, Google Drive does not have these features.

2. Robust Integration With The Windows Operating System

In my process, I make use of an HP Spectre x360. It seamlessly integrates with the company’s programs and services because it is a Windows computer. For instance, I may use the Windows Start Menu to view my most recent Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or OneNote files.

Additionally, OneDrive syncs my local folders to allow access to other devices in the background without making any noise. Another useful tool I frequently utilize is OneNote Quick Note. I have the option to start a fast note from the taskbar or access the quick note box and write down a note by pressing the Windows Key + Alt + N keys. It is impossible for Google to have such a strong assortment of apps and services on competing desktop platforms.

The Microsoft ecosystem benefits Samsung devices even more. The One UI apps, like Gallery, Notes, and Reminders, work seamlessly with Microsoft counterparts.

1. Flexible and Affordable Pricing

I think Google’s pricing strategy is inferior to Microsoft’s. Class-leading Office programs, 1TB of OneDrive storage, and other benefits are available with Microsoft 365 Home, which starts at $7 per month. The starting prices for Google One are, in contrast, $2 for 100GB, $3 for 200GB, and $10 for 2TB of drive space each month. For me, 200GB of capacity is insufficient, and 2TB is enough for my needs.

For me, OneDrive’s 1TB option is the ideal compromise. Additionally, you may further reduce the cost by upgrading to Microsoft 365 Family for $10 a month, which allows you to enjoy all the benefits with up to six individuals.

Microsoft’s Ecosystem is More Productive

The ecosystem that best suits your demands and improves your online experience is the ideal one. Although there is no lack of productivity tools, choose those that will enable you to do more, produce more, and communicate more successfully. A careful examination of Microsoft’s environment is warranted. Despite having below-average expertise with cooperation, you won’t have any trouble acclimating to new tools.

Don’t believe anything I say. Experience the difference for yourself by experimenting with Microsoft’s environment. For these reasons, you will undoubtedly favor Outlook over Gmail even while using email services.
