The latest iPhone from Apple is all about its most famous feature, Apple Intelligence.
However, this feature won’t work unless you enable it yourself. Apple Intelligence is one of Apple’s biggest advancements this year, and all the new products released in the second half of 2024 were built with Apple Intelligence in mind. Even the ads for the new iPhones focus primarily on Apple Intelligence.
If you bought the iPhone 16 in September, you’ll need to wait for an iOS update to access many features of Apple Intelligence. And if you purchased a new iPhone 16 in December and didn’t pay attention to the new feature cards that appeared after installing iOS 18.1 or 18.2, Apple Intelligence won’t be activated on your device.
So, if you’re wondering why Apple Intelligence isn’t on your iPhone, here’s how to turn it on. By following the instructions provided, you can easily activate Apple Intelligence on your device.
What do you need For Apple Intelligence?
First, you’ll need an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence. This feature works only on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 model. You will also need iOS 18.1 or the latest version. Apple Intelligence features are being rolled out in stages, with more features expected to be added throughout 2025.
Here’s a general outline of when certain features will become available. Apple Intelligence is also supported on any Apple Silicon-powered device, including Mac and iPads, such as those running macOS 15.1 or iPadOS 18.1 on the A7 Pro-powered iPad Mini.
Finally, you’ll need to set your system settings and Siri language to a supported language. Currently, the following languages are supported: English (Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, and the US). More languages will be added in 2025 to make this feature available to a wider audience.
